To start off this blog with a bang, I’m releasing a Wordpress theme that is long overdue. I planned on calling it “Future Cargo” back when I was designing it, but with all the changes that I’ve applied over time and the fact that this blog is going to be the first to use it, I changed the name to Darn Slick Gadgets.
Darn Slick Gadgets is a theme roughly based off of my personal blog’s theme. It’s clean and sleek, perfect for any personal or tech blog. It is also widgets-ready, so you’ll have no problems should you decide to add widgets to your sidebar.
Features:
- Clean, simple layout. Lots of room for you to customize any way you want.
- Neutral colors. Puts emphasis on content, not the other way around.
- Photographs also tend to look better.
- Great for blogs focusing on technology.
- Widgets-compatible.

Love it. Great theme. My only problem is that the header image (http://www.darnslick.com/wp-content/themes/Darn-Slick-Gadgets/images/bg.png) isn’t wide enough and so the gradient stops and then is just black… also as I am typing this I am noticing the background image the text area seems to not be wide enough and I am typing over the edge.

This is a great looking theme and would use it myself except that the main column is just a little too narrow to accomodate images 500px wide. Great looking theme though! Been looking for something with neutral colors that wasn’t depressing. You strike a great balance here.

Beautiful. I can’t seem to get my random quotes plugin to display on the same line at the title, though. Any ideas?

Hi,
Grea theme! I’m using it for my blog, but something very strange is happening - the center moves to the left. I just can’t understand why. The even strangier thing is, that I copied your css file to mine and it didn’t help! Any suggestions?

Hi! Wow…Clean, minimal…great theme!
I have 3 questions, do you think it’s possible to:
- add a third column?
- create a navigation bar right under the header?
- add a random image (or even better a Flash swf) to the header?
I mean if it’s possible this is going to be the best theme ever seen!
I have to say it again…the style of this theme is Fantastic!
