During my recent trip to Manila, I decided to reward myself with a hip black Crumpler laptop bag (AUS$140). I realized that my old laptop bag was getting too crowded. Besides my laptop, I carry my Google notebook and a Moleskine that I haven’t used yet. I also bring a bunch of printouts that I need for work, two pens, a USB drive and some extra cash. The cool folks at the Crumpler store even threw in a deck of playing cards and a sticker with my purchase! Not only does my Crumpler have ample storage space, it looks much hipper than my retired square computer bag.

My Moleskine is the nicest notebook I’ve ever owned. I don’t want to write anything on it!

Thanks to Moleskinerie.

Many of us PC users have hardly held a writing pen since graduating from college. Aside from signing checks, credit card slips and filling out forms, that’s probably the only good reasons why I would use a pen. A few days ago I began scribbling some notes on my Searching For Inspiration Notepad from Google (thanks Aileen!) By golly did my penmanship suck! It was an eye-opener. In college I was proud of my nice handwriting. I’m kind of a creative person, so it was easy for me to copy my female friends’ style of writing. Now after spending close to a decade sitting in front of a computer, I’ve lost it! I now write like a doctor! (Check your latest prescription, you’ll know what I mean)

Anyway, as I was searching for something to blog about here, I thought of featuring a notebook. No wait what? Yes, a notebook!

If you’re a guy you’ve probably come a point when you had to sit down and dislodge all the garbage from your wallet. After a few weeks you go through the same ordeal. And again. Wallets can be cumbersone, oftentimes literally a pain in the butt while driving or watching a long movie. The Jimi wallet puts an end to that! I’ve had my Jimi for 7 months and now I can’t live without it. I put ONLY the basics in my Jimi:

1. 2 credit cards
2. Driver’s license
3. Enough cash to get through the day (I don’t spend much though)
4. A loyalty card at a coffee shop that I frequent
