Austrian company Urban Tool specializes in chic functional tech wear and accessories. Their product, PerCushion, created a lot of buzz at the ongiong Cebit fair in Hanover, Germany. PerCushion is a pillow, and, get this, a phone. It works much like a Bluetooth headset, except that it’s… a pillow. So if your mobile phone rings while you’re lazing around on your bed, standing is no longer necessary. Gives sleep talking a new meaning, huh?

The Spanish auto manufacturer a.d. Tramontana showed off its flagship model at the recent 2007 International Motor Show held at the Palexpo in Geneva, Switzerland. This aerodynamic baby packs a punch with twin-turbo V12 that can produce up to 720hp, just about as powerful as an F1 race car. Everything inside is pain-stakingly handcrafted, such that the company will sell only 12 of these annually at $900,000 a pop. The a.d. Tramontana boasts a monocoque, 100% carbon fiber frame, while exotic leathers, 8 kinds of treated wood, gold, platinum and titanium were used in interiors and finishings.

Dubbed “FlexibleLove”, this industrial design marvel starts out as a chair, but can be molded into virtually unlimited shapes and sizes. Made from recycled materials, this chair’s versatility is due to its accordion-like structure. It made waves at the Young Designer’s Exhibition in Taiwan where it sold a thousand units of its “mini” version (25:1 ratio).

FlexibleLove Mini

Weight varies from 7-25 kilograms and is sturdy enough to support up to 2,000 kilograms. More pics and video after the jump.

If you’re a guy you’ve probably come a point when you had to sit down and dislodge all the garbage from your wallet. After a few weeks you go through the same ordeal. And again. Wallets can be cumbersone, oftentimes literally a pain in the butt while driving or watching a long movie. The Jimi wallet puts an end to that! I’ve had my Jimi for 7 months and now I can’t live without it. I put ONLY the basics in my Jimi:

1. 2 credit cards
2. Driver’s license
3. Enough cash to get through the day (I don’t spend much though)
4. A loyalty card at a coffee shop that I frequent

To start off this blog with a bang, I’m releasing a Wordpress theme that is long overdue. I planned on calling it “Future Cargo” back when I was designing it, but with all the changes that I’ve applied over time and the fact that this blog is going to be the first to use it, I changed the name to Darn Slick Gadgets.

Darn Slick Gadgets is a theme roughly based off of my personal blog’s theme. It’s clean and sleek, perfect for any personal or tech blog. It is also widgets-ready, so you’ll have no problems should you decide to add widgets to your sidebar.

Features:

  • Clean, simple layout. Lots of room for you to customize any way you want.
  • Neutral colors. Puts emphasis on content, not the other way around.
  • Photographs also tend to look better.
  • Great for blogs focusing on technology.
  • Widgets-compatible.
